I know, I know…it’s been a while. You’ve been struggling with withdraw. But, alas! Mashups have returned!! Rejoicing may commence now:
- Someone To Save You The Day I Tried To Live
Dear World, It’s hard being a superhero 24/7. How about you solve your own crime problems for once. We need a vacation! Sincerely, Batman, Superman, and Spiderman.
- Closer To The Edge Of The Earth
Back when the earth was square, or at least flat, sailors set off to find the edge of the earth. For many, the closer they got, the further away they were from their comfort zone. They panicked, were attacked by The Black Pearl and never heard from again. The end.
- Too Tough Wrapped In Your Arms
Even tough little boys need hugs from their Mommas.
- Emergency Hop, Skip, and a Jump
The new Stop, Drop and Roll. Or Boulder mixing their ambulance and bus services.
- All Stand, Fall Down
This reminds me of a song I used to sing in Children’s Choir. It also makes me think of Stop, Drop, and Roll…or diving under a desk during an earthquake/drill growing up in CA.
- Hanging By A Moment Gives You Hell
Everyone has probably experienced that point in a relationship where you’re just waiting for the axe to fall. Waiting to see what’s going to happen. Perhaps it’s not an axe but something more pleasing like a diamond. 🙂 Waiting for that moment is torture. It’s hell.
- Papercut Sympathy
I have a desk job. My biggest injury is usually carpel tunnel acting up. My second biggest injury would be paper cuts from cardboard. And by the way, they are way worse than your average paper cut. In January I had over 10 paper cuts between both hands at one time. Horrible experience. My husband works in construction and often has cuts on his hands. He offers me no sympathy, and instead shows me his latest war wound. Anyone else out there find this unfair?
- But It’s Better If You Do Into The Ocean
What? Fish pee in the sea too, ya know!
- What a Beautiful Day In the Dark
You know that feeling you have when you wake up and it’s still dark outside, yet you somehow know if this is going to be a good day or a bad day? And then, when you peek outside (or in my case head out for the day) and you watch the sunrise (and blind you) while driving east, you can tell it’s going to be a beautiful day. Yeah, it’s like that.
- Crush Never Crush There Crush
The sound an animal makes while you’re camping. You hear it, but whenever you look around, there’s nothing near by. Was it even an animal or was it the Charman of Ojai?
